November 21, 1856 - Severe wind and rainstorm destroyed the bridge over the Wabash River at Lagro. Considerable property damage.

1859 - Summer drought

October 29, 1868 - 6" snow in Wabash

July 1872 - 5 minute cyclone did great damage at Lagro.

February 3, 1883 - Floods on the Wabash River due to heavy rain and snowmelt.

May 1, 1892 - New bridge at Lagro washed away.

March 9, 1900 - Wabash River ice gorge and sudden thawing sends river up, resembling the Flood of 1883.

February 14, 1902 - The longest freeze in 25 years claimed many older residents� lives. Roann snowbound for a week.

1902 - Spring drought, then good rain May 2.

June 27, 1902 - Overcoats required

August 22, 1902 - Severe thunderstorm, considerable damage in Wabash.

January 12-13, 1903 - Cold wave. Wabash snowbound.

February or March 1903 - Wabash River on the rampage

August 4, 1923 - 6.50" rain caused creek to rise three feet in 2 minutes in Chester Township (North Manchester area).

August 15, 1923 - Severe thunderstorm hit North Manchester. $1000s damage.

December 24, 1924 -Snow covered the ground. Temperature -13˚ Christmas morning. Coldest Christmas in 48 years. First white Christmas since 1916 in Wabash.

January 2, 1925 - 8" of snow in Wabash.
