SENATOR STEVENS INTRODUCES BUDDY GUY AT THE DIGITAL ENTERTAINMENT EXPO
Thank you. I have an important person I want to introduce.  First, I want to thank everyone who had anything to do with bringing us this show here, all these exhibits.  There have been a lot of people who have cooperated; my thanks go out to the Recording Industry Association, the US Telecom Association and the Digital Media Association.  They’ve sponsored this event. But we are honored tonight to be joined by a person who has been praised as the best guitar player alive. He has collaborated with greats like Howlin’ Wolf, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Muddy Waters, Carlos Santana and John Mayer.  When he was introduced to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this is what he said, “If you don’t think you have the blues, just keep living.”  Well some of us who are going from the majority to the minority are going to have to think about that for a while. Let me bring to you now a true blues legend.  A five time Grammy Award winner, rock and roll hall of fame member, this is Buddy Guy.
