Restricted-activity days are becoming a more common aspect of occupational injury and illness cases at the same time that days away from work are becoming shorter and less frequent; increased job safety and the faster return to work of injured workers may account for this development. This article presents evidence of this important compositional change in occupational injuries and illnesses.
