Entrance is Free! There is no entrance or program fee for most of the sites of Nez Perce National Historical Park.

 

As of January 1, 2007 Big Hole National Battlefield will no longer be charging an entrance fee. Entrance to the park is free!

Horses came into Nez Perce country about the 1730s and the Nez Perce became well known for their large herds of fine horses. The Nez Perce practiced selective breeding to obtain the traits of intelligence, endurance, and speed.
