Promote smoke-free environments in your community. Adhere the static cling on any clean dry glass surface such as a car window or in the front of your home. This static cling speaks to the culture of Hispanics/Latinos when it comes to restricting tobacco use in the home or car. Visitors are asked, “out of respect” to refrain from smoking. "This CD-ROM contains audio files for English- and Spanish-language radio public service announcement (PSA) campaigns in :15, :30, and :60 second spots, as well as the accompanying scripts and an interview guide for a call-in radio show. This CD is available to assist community leaders in conducting a multimedia campaign on secondhand smoke exposure to the Hispanic/Latino community at large. "

"Sabemos: Por respeto—Aquí no se fuma: Community Outreach Tool Kit"
"Sabemos is a community outreach toolkit for parenting tobacco-free Hispanic/Latino youth (ages 14 years and younger). The campaign is designed to help community leaders heighten awareness among Hispanic/Latino parents who have recently arrived in the United States (less than two years) about secondhand smoke and how it can affect them and their children. Second, the campaign educates and empowers Hispanic/Latino parents on practical steps they can take to achieve smoke-free environments for their children. The toolkit includes a cultural overview, tip sheet, bilingual insert, cover letter, sticker, static cling, and an interactive CD-ROM (with both English and Spanish versions of all toolkit contents and three radio public service announcement campaigns in :15, :30, and :60 second spots)."

This is the 1985 Report of the Surgeon General regarding the health consequences of smoking, including cancer and chronic lung disease in the workplace. The report provides a detailed review of the relation between smoking and hazardous substances in the workplace. The added health burden for workers who smoke cigarettes is particularly disturbing, and for some, the burden is substantial.
