Get TRI Data

Quick Links

TRI data and information are made available in a number of ways to assist the widest range of users. In addition, raw data is available by request on CD.

Early Public Availability of TRI Reports

The e-FDR is a facility-level, form-by-form release of TRI data for 2007 as reported by July 1, 2008. The e-FDR does not include analyses of the TRI data, such as national trend analysis. EPA created the e-FDR to get the data out to communities sooner. Some data quality checks are completed for the forms released under the e-FDR, however facilities are still reviewing the forms to verify submissions and may revise their data prior to the final release of the TRI data in the spring Public Data Release report. When the annual TRI Public Data Release (PDR) report is published and released to the public, the e-FDR query tool will not be available until the following year.

TRI Explorer

Public Data Releases

The annual TRI Public Data Release includes: a general overview of that year's TRI data and information on trends; State Fact Sheets that provide a brief summary of the TRI data by State; and, downloadable data files containing TRI reports submitted for the reporting year.

TRI State Data Files and Factsheets

Part of each Public Data Release (above), the TRI State Data Files are sets of files containing all data submitted to the Toxic Chemical Release Inventory by facilities located in a selected state for a specific year. The data has been extracted from the Toxics Release Inventory System (TRIS).

The state fact sheets summarize the basic Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) data for each state. TRI State fact sheets are available below for RY1996 - RY 2001. State factsheets beyond RY 2001 are available on the TRI explorer web page.
