1922. Chadron set it’s greatest daily precipitation amount for November on this
date with 1.50 inches. The system also produced a 3 day total from the 4th through
the 6th of 2.35 inches in Chadron. Also on this date in 1922, Cheyenne received
11.0 inches of snow, while Scottsbluff recorded 6.0 inches of snow.
The warmest November temperature ever recorded in Cheyenne was set on this
date in 1891 with a very warm 75 degrees recorded.
Nov 6: A winter storm system moved across the region on this day in 1918, leaving
6.5 inches of snow in Scottsbluff, and 5.1 inches of snow in Cheyenne.
Nov 7: Another winter storm system affected the region from late on the 6th through
the 7th in 1936. 8.3 inches of snow was recorded near Wheatland, while 5 to
8 inches of snow fell across parts of the Nebraska panhandle.
Nov 8: A strong arctic front brought snow and very cold temperatures to the region on
this day in 1898. Cheyenne recorded a low of 6 degrees below zero, along
with 10.1 inches of snow. 5.0 inches of snow was recorded at Kimball.
Chadron, Nebraska recorded it’s latest 80 degree temperature on record on
this date just last year in 2006 with a high of 80 degrees.
Nov 9: Unusual warmth was experienced over the region on this day in 1999, with
Kimball reaching an all-time record high for November with 83 degrees.
Nov 10: A winter storm moved across the region on this day in 1947, and produced
4 to 7 inches of snow across much of the Nebraska panhandle.
6.0 inches of snow blanketed Kimball on this day in 1940.
Nov 11: A strong arctic front brought very cold air to the region on this date in 1911.
After highs in the 50s and 60s on the 10th, temperatures over most of
the region plunged to below zero levels by the next morning. Cheyenne
chilled to 9 below zero while Kimball fell to 8 below zero.
