Shortly after 530 PM on April 23, 2008, an EF-1 tornado touched down 9 miles southeast of Bridgeport, Nebraska. The tornado moved to the northwest at 30 MPH and was on the ground for approximately 2 miles. The tornado destroyed a farm house, two barns, and three grain bins. No one was injured.
