This Week (April 23–April 29) in Regional Weather History

Apr. 23: Today is the average last day of the season that measurable snow occurs in
               Scottsbluff, Nebraska.                       

Apr. 24: On this day in 1942, 12.0 inches of snow fell in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
              
Also on this day in 1929, Cheyenne recorded its greatest daily precipitation
               amount for April with 2.45 inches, which included 11.0 inches of snowfall.

               12.5 inches of snow fell in Scottsbluff on this day in 1907.              

Apr. 25: Scottsbluff, Nebraska recorded its greatest daily snowfall ever on this day in
               1935 when 17.6 inches covered the city.

                6 to 8 inches of snow fell over and around Cheyenne on this day in 1999, while
                a winter storm brought 9 inches of snow to Cheyenne on this day in 1935.                                                       

Apr. 26:  A 3 day winter storm ended over the region on this day in 1935 after producing a
                total of 20 inches of snow in Cheyenne and 19.0 inches in Kimball.               

Apr. 27: On this day in 1910, Scottsbluff recorded a high temperature of 93 degrees
                which still stands as the highest April temperature on record there. 

               Scottsbluff also recorded its greatest daily precipitation amount for April on this
               day in 1911 when 2.53 inches fell.           

Apr. 28: On this day in 1910, Scottsbluff once again recorded a high temperature of 93
               degrees which tied with the previous day for the highest April temperature on
               record there.

Apr. 29: A 2-day heavy snow event began in Cheyenne on this day in 1900.  By the end
               of the day, 6.8 inches had fallen with an additional 9 inches to come.
