with a low temperature of 8 degrees below zero.
while Scottsbluff was coated with 8.2 inches of snow on this day in 1957.
Apr. 3: On this day in 1983 a winter storm brought 11.9 inches of snow to
receiving a 10.5 inch snowfall on this same day in 1955.
Apr. 4: On this day in 1997 a strong winter storm began to move across the region bringing
widespread heavy, wet snow and 40-50 mph winds. By the late evening of the 4th
into the 5th of April, many power lines were downed and roads closed over southeast
to snow.
Apr. 5: The 1997 regional blizzard continued for much of the day before waning. Snowfall
amounts from 8 to 12 inches were common over much of the region. The storm
caused an estimated 5 million dollars in damage and killed many livestock due to
