Apr.  2
:  Strong winds blew across extreme southeast Wyoming on this day in 1982
               with a peak gust of 77 mph recorded at Cheyenne. 

               On this day in 1975 Scottsbluff recorded its lowest temperature ever in April
               with a low temperature of  8 degrees below zero.

               Laramie, Wyoming, was covered with 10 inches of snow on this day in 1968,
               while Scottsbluff was coated with 8.2 inches of snow on this day in 1957.
                          
Apr.  3:  On this day in 1983 a winter storm brought 11.9 inches of snow to Cheyenne.

               Douglas, Wyoming received 11 inches of snow on this day in 1968, after
              
receiving a 10.5 inch snowfall on this same day in 1955.              

Apr.  4:  On this day in 1997 a strong winter storm began to move across the region bringing
               widespread heavy, wet snow and 40-50 mph winds.  By the late evening of the 4th
               into the 5th of April, many power lines were downed and roads closed over southeast
               Wyoming.  Scottsbluff recorded 1.09 inches of precipitation, mostly before turning
               to snow.                                                            

Apr.  5:  The 1997 regional blizzard continued for much of the day before waning.  Snowfall
               amounts from 8 to 12 inches were common over much of the region.  The storm
               caused an estimated 5 million dollars in damage and killed many livestock due to
               this storm occurring in calving season.  Highest snowfall amounts were 12 inches
               at Albin and Lusk, Wyoming, with 11.2 inches reported from Scottsbluff.

               The earliest last freeze for the season in Scottsbluff occurred on this day in 1981.               

Apr.  6:  A generous 10 inch snowfall was recorded in Scottsbluff on this day in 1938.           

Apr.  7:  A very wet storm system produced the all-time greatest daily precipitation
               amount for April in Chadron, Nebraska on this day in 1919 with 3.00 inches.
               Chadron also received 17 inches of snow from the same storm system.

Apr.  8:  On this day in 1930, Scottsbluff warmed to 90 degrees, which still stands as
               Scottsbluffs earliest 90 degree temperature on record.
