Very Warm Weather Expected for Saturday

Temperatures will climb to well above normal levels over southeast Wyoming and the western Nebraska panhandle on Saturday.  Today will also be mild, but highs will be another 5 to 12 degrees warmer on Saturday, with highs in the 60s to the east of the Laramie Range.  A strong cold front will move across the region Saturday evening, bringing cooler temperatures and a good chance of snow.  Highs will only be in the 30s to mid 40s for Sunday.  Windy conditions will accompany the warm weather for Saturday.  At this time it does not look like any record highs for Saturday, March 1st  will be broken, but following is a list of the expected high temperatures and the record for that day for selected cities...

Cheyenne          record high for Saturday 66 set in 1941      expected high    62  

Laramie             record high for Saturday 60 set in 1986      expected high    51

Rawlins             record high for Saturday 57 set in 1986      expected high    46

Scottsbluff         record high for Saturday 72 set in 1974      expected high    66
