February Cheyenne Extremes

The graph above shows the warmest Februarys in Cheyenne weather history.  February 1954 was the warmest on record with an average temperature of 38.8 degrees.  Interestingly, four of the eleven months on this graph occurred since 1990.

The coldest Februarys on record are shown in the graph above.  February 1899 was the coldest on record with an average temperature of 12.4 degrees.  As you can see, there has not been a cold February since 1989, the fourth coldest in Cheyenne weather history.

The graph above shows the snowiest Februarys in Cheyenne.  The most snow ever recorded in February was 23.3 inches in 1995.

February can also be a dry month as seen in the graph above.  All of the February’s on this graph had snowfall amounts under two inches.

This graph shows the Februarys with the most precipitation, either rain or melted snow.  The wettest February on record was 2.16 inches in 1953.

As you can see in the above graph, February can be a rather dry month as well.  All of the Februarys in the graph above had precipitation less than one tenth of an inch.
