 October 1925 was indeed a cool October with regard to average low temperatures, as you can see in the table above.  The average low temperature in October 1925 was a chilly 26.5 degrees.

 The coldest low temperature ever recorded in Cheyenne in the month of October was 5 degrees below zero on October 26, 1878, as you can see in the table above.  The table above shows the top ten coldest October low temperatures in Cheyenne since 1872, and the dates the low temperatures occurred.  Notice these records all occurred on or after the 26th of the month.
