As you can see, the record highest temperature in September for all of the locales was a blistering 104 degrees at Chadron on September 4th, 1978. The record lowest temperature in September for all of the locales was a shivering -2 degrees at Laramie on September 30th, 1985. Chadron had the record highest daily precipitation with 4.40 inches on September 18th, 1986. The highest average maximum temperature is 78.8 degrees at Alliance and lowest average maximum temperature is 68.3 degrees at Laramie. The highest average minimum temperature is 46.1 degrees at Chadron and the lowest average minimum temperature is 37.4 degrees at Laramie. The highest average precipitation is 1.44 inches at Chadron and the lowest average preciptation falls in Rawlins with 0.82 inches.
