Mike Sowko Promotion to the Hydrometeorological Prediction Center (HPC)

Pictured above are John Eise, National Weather Service Cheyenne Meteorologist-in-Charge, and Mike Sowko.  John is presenting Mike with the Wyoming Cowboy plaque that is signed by each employee at National Weather Service Cheyenne and is given to each team member upon their retirement or transfer to another office.  The occasion was Mike's going away potluck party on Thursday August 14, 2008.

Congratulations to Mike Sowko, who recently received a promotion to a position at the Hydrometeorological Prediction Center (HPC) in the Washington, D.C. area.

The National Weather Service Cheyenne's team loss will be the Hydrometeorological Prediction Center's gain.

Our NWS Cheyenne team will miss you Mike!  We are pleased that you will be remaining in the National Weather Service family, and thank you for your dedicated service to the people of the United States, including the people of southeast Wyoming and western Nebraska.
