ACCP Plans

Continued documentation of air-sea variability is planned using both observations and models. The historical data-set of temperature in the North Atlantic will be reviewed to define further the properties of the observed decadal variability and the dynamics of these changes. Numerical model results will be reviewed to provide a framework for analysis of the data.

Participation in the Atlantic Circulation and Climate Experiment (ACCE), the last field phase of WOCE, will continue. ACCE is directed at defining the relation of the Atlantic Ocean to global climate. AOML is involved in studies of upper ocean processes that impact on sea-surface temperature.
