The Mathematics and Science Partnerships program is a formula grant program to the States. States develop Requests for Proposals (RFPs) based on state-specific needs and are required to hold competitions and make awards to projects that improve the content knowledge of teachers and increase student learning in mathematics and science. The funded projects, “partnerships”, may receive funds for up to three years and must include both an engineering, mathematics, or science department of an institution of higher education and a high-need local educational agency (LEA). For additional information on state-administered MSP programs, please visit State Department of Education .
