The American Chiropractic Association (ACA) was created to advance the profession of chiropractic as a separate and distinct branch of the healing arts. The Association encourages and supports standards of education, ethics, and professional competency for the practice of chiropractic; lobbies for the enactment of favorable laws governing the practice of chiropractic; and pursues public education programs, including the dissemination of information to the media and to government, industries, labor, and insurance companies regarding the value of chiropractic as a healing service. An extensive publications list is available. Office, administrative, and management forms for practitioners are also available.
The Association publishes general education literature; supplies for use with children and in classrooms; back injuries literature; health, safety, occupational, and insurance literature; vocational and career literature; public and professional relations kits; professional affairs materials; and pamphlets, films, and posters. Serial publication: ACA Journal of Chiropractic, monthly--contains organizational news and articles on various aspects of chiropractic.
