Serving Justice - Securing Results

Welcome to our site for public information on the U.S. Department of Justice Library system.

The Main Library in the Robert F. Kennedy Justice Building is a broad research facility with extensive legal and non-legal holdings. Service is provided primarily to the Offices, Boards and Divisions of the Department of Justice. In addition, branch Libraries support the litigating Divisions and maintain specialized collections of particular interest to the personnel of the Divisions. Most locations are staffed Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. To contact one of our Libraries, please view the Library Locations list.

Our resources are generally for the use of Department of Justice personnel. The Libraries are open to the public by appointment only for access to government depository items, or unique titles which are located in our Libraries. Many DOJ publications can be conveniently found in the Catalog of U.S. Government Publications, and these titles may be located in Federal Depository Libraries near you.
