In accordance with Revised Code of Washington (RCW) 39.80, King County utilizes the Architectural & Engineering (A&E) Roster process to select consultants for some smaller design projects. This roster is available for use by all County departments. These consultant service contracts are valued at $150K or less and are not advertised in the newspaper. Usually five or more Consultants listed on the A&E Roster are sent the request for proposals. Consultants are rotated on the list to ensure equal opportunity to submit a proposal.

Consultants on the Architectural & Engineering (A&E) Roster are registered by the disciplines they select on their roster application. Refer to A&E Roster Application (362KB DOC), Attachment A for a list of A&E disciplines King County utilizes. Consultants are expected to propose when solicited and, therefore, are encouraged to register only for those disciplines that they are able and willing to perform. Repeated non-response to roster solicitations is grounds for removal from the roster. To be on the A&E Roster, your firm must be licensed in the State of Washington to engage in the lawful practice of your profession.

To register on the Architectural & Engineering (A&E) Roster, download the A&E Roster Application (362KB DOC) and submit the completed application to Professiona l and Construction Services (PCS) according to the roster application instructions.

If you have questions regarding the A&E Roster, or the roster application, contact PCS at 206-263-9400 (TTY Relay: 711).
