Requests for design, professional and technical Consultant services originate from all King County departments and agencies. Listed below are a few examples of departments and types of consultant projects.

NOTE: Consultants must direct all questions about Request for Proposals (RFP's) and Request for Quotations (RFQ's) to the assigned Contract Specialist. The Specialist's name and phone number are listed in the RFP/Q.

Details about selection processes, timelines, qualifications, etc., differ for each project and can be found within each RFP/Q. To view latest advertisement, access Solicitations and search "Open" solicitations for "A&E and Prof. Services".   DNRP - Department of Natural Resources and Parks (Solid Waste, Wastewater Treatment and Water & Land)
Project Types include design and environmental analysis of new construction, repairs & replacement of tunnels, trenches, pipe lines, lift stations, landfill projects, treatment plants, machinery and buildings.

FMD - Facilities Management Division 
Project types include design and environmental analysis associated with new building construction, renovation & repairs and major maintenance projects on all county buildings and facilities, and capital improvements and new construction of parks, ball fields and other recreation facilities and properties. 

 DOT - Department of Transportation (Roads & Transit)
Project types include design and environmental analysis associated with the construction, renovation & repair of roads, bridges, park and rides and other transportation related facilities.
