Thomas (Tom) A. Eye
Deputy Director
Cape Canaveral Spaceport Management Office

Thomas A. Eye is the deputy director of the Cape Canaveral Spaceport Management Office (CCSMO) and is responsible for the contract management and administration of the Joint Base Operations and Support Contract (J-BOSC). In this capacity, he is responsible for the joint program management between NASA John F. Kennedy Space Center (KSC) and the United States Air Force, 45th Space Wing (CCAFS and PAFB) in support of a safe, efficient and effective environment for providing premier base support to the space launch community. Eye joined the Kennedy Space Center after retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel with 28 years of service with the United States Air Force.

Eye served in numerous leadership positions while on active duty relocating 11 times during his career. His most recent assignment was as the commander, Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, 45th Space Wing, Fla. As the commander, he was responsible for ensuring the safety, security and environmental protection of the station with assets including over 16,000 acres, 1,500 facilities, 4.6 million square feet of office space and $600M in real estate with a daily work force of over 10,000 personnel.

Eye has completed the Air War College (seminar) and the Air Force Staff College programs while on active duty. He is level two certified in program management in the Defense Acquisition. In 2004, representing the Kennedy Space Center and the National Aeronautics Space Administration, he was selected for a fellowship and attended the prestigious National Securities Studies Management Course at Syracuse University.

Eye was born May 24, 1955, in Buffalo, N.Y. He graduated from West Seneca East High School in West Seneca, N.Y. He graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management in 1985 and completed a Masters of Arts degree in Management and Supervision from Central Michigan University in 1985. He is married to the former, Margaret (Peggie) Parisi; they have two adult children, Carrie Anne Jenkins and Michael.
