For Teachers

John Muir NHS is available for school group tours Wednesday through Sunday. We open at 10 am.

School groups are limited to 70 children. Please allow 90 mins. for tours. Picnic tables are available. Schedule early! Spaces fill up for Spring tours very quickly.

Our current Visitor Center is small, and our auditorium can only seat 35 people at a time. We have an excellent 20 minute film about John Muir called, "A Glorious Journey" that is recommended for all groups.

A reserved ranger or volunteer led tour is aproximately an hour in length. Shorter tours around just the first floor of the Muir Home are 30 minutes.
