The design of the NIAID Web site is changing to serve you better! In July 2005, the new NIAID home page was unveiled as well as an updated About NIAID section and an updated News & Events section. There are four other main sections of the site that will be brought into the new design and structure over the upcoming months: Labs at NIAID, Research, Research Funding, and Health & Science.
We are reorganizing our content into a topic-based structure, implementing consistent navigation and design across the site, and introducing other features to improve the usability and accessibility of our site.
Below is a screen shot of the new NIAID home page and descriptions of the various sections and features.
If you wish to provide feedback on the new NIAID Web site design, please use the Contact Us e-mail form. All comments will be collected and considered for future upgrades or changes to the site.

Home Link
The NIAID logo and the NIAID Home tab will always take you back to the home page, no matter where you are on the site. There is also a Home link in the footer. |

Search
The search function is found in the upper right-hand corner of most pages. It allows you to search the entire NIAID Web site using key words, or you can search within a particular section. |

Top Navigation Links
The links in the upper right-hand corner include: Help, Site Index, and Contact Us. Help provides general guidance for the site. Site Index lists the pages on the NIAID site in alphabetical order. Contact Us provides various addresses and phone numbers for contacting NIAID, as well as an e-mail form. |

Health & Science
Health & Science contains information geared to the general public on NIAID areas of research. This topic can be accessed by using the top navigation tab on each page of the site or the orange box with the words Health & Science on the home page, as well direct access to the main subtopics of the section from the home page. |

This section provides funding, policy, and other timely information of interest primarily to NIAID's extramural research community.
