Amino Acid Analysis and Conjugation Efficiency Assays

  • Amino acid analysis of peptides and proteins can be performed to verify the composition of the known samples and/or to quantify their solution concentration.
  • About 100pmol of peptide and about 25 – 50pmol of protein is needed for a single assay and proportionately more for double or triple analyses.
  • The protein samples submitted for amino acid analyses should not contain Tris, glycine, or other primary and/or secondary amine-containing buffers. Amino acid analyses, when requested, will be placed with selected commercial vendors, and charged according to the actual quotes.
  • Conjugation Efficiency Assays are available only from selected commercial service laboratories. For an accurate analysis, the samples should be desalted by dialysis or gel filtration prior to the assays.
