Description of Research Program

The Clinical Studies Unit (CSU) was created in 1997. Its main objective is the development and conduct of clinical research in areas of interest to the Laboratory of Clinical Infectious Diseases and its senior staff. Clinical projects are underway that complement molecular studies.

  • Shingles (herpes zoster virus) infections
  • Autoimmune lymphoproliferative syndrome (ALPS)
  • Chronic active Epstein-Barr virus disease (CAEBV)
