This summer the War in the Pacific National Historical Park will host its first Reef Ranger Camp. The new program is designed to introduce Guam’s youth to the coral reef environment of War in the Pacific National Historical Park, with five days of fun activities, lead by National Park Service scientists and local researchers and educators.
At Reef Ranger camp, kids will have an exciting opportunity to learn about all the fish, corals and other strange and beautiful creatures that inhabit our island’s reef.
The Reef Rangers will engage in activities such as shallow marine photography, they will conduct scientific experiments, play games - and assist marine ecologists in conducting research on the reef.
