Environmental Purchasing Program. Provides County personnel with information and technical assistance to identify and evaluate economical and effective recycled and environmentally preferable products.
Equal Benefits. In April 2004, King County passed an ordinance stating that contractors doing business with the County with contracts in excess of $25,000 shall not discriminate when providing benefits to domestic partners. Known as the Equal Benefits Ordinance, contractors are required to complete a compliance worksheet in order to receive a contract from the County.
Goods and Services (G&S). Manages the procurement of goods, supplies, equipment, materials and technical consultant services.
Project Control Officer (PCO). Established by Executive Policy and Procedure CON 7-10-01; works with Construction Projects over $10 Million and Consultant (Professional and A&E) Contracts over $2 Million. The Project Control Officer (PCO) is also available to assist with other contracts regardless of value.
Technical and Consulting Services. Manages the procurement of non-A&E consulting, including appraisals, studies, evaluations, and promotional campaigns, as well as technology oriented contracts such as software and systems analysis.
