Contracts for Technical Consultant services originate with service requests from King County departments and agencies. Listed below are a few examples of representative County departments and the types of consultant projects they perform.

NOTE: Consultants interested in submitting qualifications and/or proposals to King County must direct questions regarding Request for Proposals (RFP's) and Request for Quotations (RFQ's) to the assigned Contract Specialist or Buyer. The assigned Specialist's or Buyer's name and phone number will be listed along with the RFP/Q.

  DNRP - Department of Natural Resources and Parks (Solid Waste, Wastewater Treatment and Water & Land)
Project types may include the creation of marketing programs for local agricultural or recycling events; waste monitoring services; health and safety training; conservation studies, archeological research services, as well as other services.

FMD - Facilities Management Division 
Project types may include master planning services; Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) building accessibility studies; property appraisals; as well as other services. 

DOT - Dept. of Transportation (Roads and Transit)
Project types may include transportation and bus rider surveys; appraisals regarding right of way properties; review of parking management strategies, as well as other services.

DCHS - Dept. of Community and Human Services 
Project types may include grant and funding opportunity research; health services management, as well as others.
