National Tribal Conference on Environmental Management
The Eighth National Tribal Conference on Environmental Management (NTCEM) will be held in Billings, MT, June 24th through June 26th, 2008. This major event includes a wide variety of session topics and provides training opportunities that benefit human health and protect the environment in Indian country. The 8th NTCEM is being co-sponsored by EPA and the Montana/Wyoming Tribal Leaders Council.
Wastewater in Tribal Communities
A new website by the Office of Wastewater Management. This site provides financial, technical and programmatic assistance to help tribal communities achieve adequate wastewater services.
Tribal Compliance Assistance Center
The new online Tribal Compliance Assistance Center will help tribal environmental professionals and facility owners meet environmental regulations.
Tribal Infrastructure Memoranda of Understanding
EPA – along with four other federal agencies including the Department of Interior, Department of Health and Human Services, Department of Agriculture, and the Department of Housing and Urban Development – have signed two tribal infrastructure Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs). These MOUs affirm our commitment to improving infrastructure on tribal lands and providing tribes with access to safe drinking water. It is the first time five federal agencies have agreed to work across traditional program boundaries on tribal infrastructure issues. More about the MOUs

Underground Storage Tanks Program in Indian Country

in Indian country. Specifically, OUST is responsible for inspecting tanks and
helping to ensure compliance with all laws and regulations and helping to ensure
