Dinosaur is more than pretty scenery. The Monument preserves a range of human history, including Native American rock art, homesteaders' cabins and an early 20th-century ranch. Pictured at right is an early image of Josie Bassett Morris' cabin, which still stands in the park. Josie homesteaded in what is now the Monument beginning in 1914.
