Troops Fight Wildfires in California
C-130 Hercules Cargo aircraft equipped with the Modular Airborne Fire Fighting System undergo maintenance Oct. 23, 2007, at the main hanger at the 145th Airlift Wing in Charlotte, N.C. The North Carolina Air National Guard will deploy three C-130 cargo aircraft, flight crews and support personnel to Port Hueneme/Channel Islands, Calif., to assist the U.S. Forest Service in firefighting efforts to contain, control, and extinguish wild fires.
