Recent Additions in WATERS

June 4, 2004
  • New release of EnviroMapper - Version 3.0 of EnviroMapper for Water now includes information on Water Quality Monitoring Stations, Nutrient Stations, Assessed Waters, Beaches, Sewage No Discharge Zones, Nonpoint Source Projects, National Estuary Programs, Clean Watershed Needs, Special Appropriations Projects (intranet), Drinking Water Wells (intranet), Source Water Areas (intranet), and Drinking Water Intakes (intranet).

  • 2003 WATERS Forum - On December 4, 2003, EPA's WATERS team and stakeholders hosted a Forum to showcase recent accomplishments. The Forum highlighted examples of national and state analyses (program prioritization, policy development, congressional reporting, etc.) conducted using this integrating framework and included an overview of innovative data integration techniques, services, and tools. Presentations by the Office of Water, the Office of Environmental Information, the State of Minnesota, and USGS were well-received and have already led to discussions of future collaborative work amongst Federal and State partners.

  • WebRIT WATERS - The newest release of WebRIT WATERS is now available for users of the Grants Reporting Tracking System (GRTS) and BEACH Act grant recipients.

  • New release of EnviroMapper - Version 2.0 of EnviroMapper for Water now includes information on Water Quality Monitoring Stations, Nutrient Stations, Assessed Waters, Beaches, and Sewage No Discharge Zones.

  • Web-based Reach Indexing Tool (WebRIT) - The initial release of the WebRIT-GRTS application is to allow users of the Grants Reporting Tracking System (GRTS) to georeference the locations of non point source projects funded by grants issued under Section 319 of the Clean Water Act.
