Description |
This section of the Shoreline, Washington municipal code offers density bonuses for projects that include provisions for affordable housing. The code allows an increase of up to 50 percent above the existing base density with each additional for-sale or rental housing unit provided for extremely low-, very low-, low-, or moderate-income households. The units should remain affordable for 30 years and should be constructed within the same time period as the market-rate units. In addition, the code establishes side yard setback waivers, allowing two affordable housing units in a single family development to be built as attached units. |
