Objective:
The objective of this cooperative research project is to improve the possibilities of obtaining new sugarcane varieties and to develop new production techniques in areas such as planting, pests and diseases, culture, harvest and raw matter quality through the exchange and evaluation of germplasm and agronomic technologies with the ultimate goal of yield improvement.

Approach:
ARS and Cooperator will exchange seed, experimental lines, and/or new varieties, (Material) for use in their respective breeding programs and/or testing and evaluation for specific traits of interest or as commercial cultivars as well as new production technologies to enhance yield or reduce input costs.
