35 years - Mr. Henry Mantelli (Gilroy)

mr. mantelli

Mr. Henry Mantelli is the Cooperative Weather Observer for the Gilroy station. He has been been at it for 35 years and continues to do a great job.

Mr. Mantelli was born in Berkely, California and was a pharmacist for 30 years. He sold his two stores in 1944 and 1947. He then bought an orchard farm in Mountain View, California where he grew cherries and apricots.

In 1960 he sold the farm and bought his present ranch 8 miles east of Gilroy where now lives.
