The HRIBF Program Advisory Committee met at
the HRIBF in Oak Ridge on October 21, 1997. Five hundred ninety-eight
eight-hour shifts of beam with radioactive arsenic, fluorine, and
nickel, and 181 shifts of beam with stable ions were requested. One
hundred seventy-seven shifts of radioactive ion beams (RIBs) and 90
shifts of stable beams (SIBs) were assigned to the twelve proposals
which were accepted. The attached table summarizes the experimental
projects given beam time.
RIB-017 - 17F + 208Pb Breakup Fusion at Near Barrier Energies
RIB-018 - Proposal to Measure the
p(17F,17F)p Reaction at the Holifield Radioactive Ion
RIB-019 - Proposal to Determine the 14O(a,p)17F Reaction Rate
RIB-020 - Determination of the Rates of
the 18F(p,g)19Ne and 18F(p,a)15O Reactions in
RIB-021 - Identification of Low-lying Transitions in 101Sn
RIB-022 - Proposal to Measure the 56Ni(p,p)56Ni Reaction
RIB-023 - In-beam Study of the Odd-odd N = Z Isotopes of 82Nb
RIB-024 - Decay Studies at the Proton Drip Line in the 100Sn Region with a 56Ni Radioactive Beam
RIB-025 - Search for Proton- and Alpha-Decay from 191At
RIB-026 - Study of the Decay of Nuclides
with N Close to or Equal to Z that are Crucial
RIB-027 - Band Structure in 78Y and Question of T = 0 Pairing
RIB-028 - Production and Spectroscopic Studies of a New Proton Emitter 137Tb
