Denominator

Medicare hospital live discharges with a principal diagnosis of heart failure and with left ventricular systolic dysfunction and without angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor contraindications.

Numerator

Subset of the denominator heart failure patients who are prescribed an ACE inhibitor at hospital discharge.
