Office of Networking & Telecommunications Operations
The Office of Networking and Telecommunications Operations manages the HCHB digital network, telecommunications services, and network-enabled services, such as emergency broadcast, voice mail, and Internet Domain Name Service. The Office manages Department-wide telecommunications services, such as FTS2001 and WITS, and coordinates telecommunication and networking operations across the Department. The Office provides support to meet HCHB's voice, video and data telecommunications requirements, including managing HCHB telephone services and the telephone directory and providing direct support of the HCHB infrastructure. The Office works with the Departmental Office of IT Security, Infrastructure, and Technology to ensure the security of HCHB networking and telecommunication resources; and with the Office of IT Policy and Planning to develop and coordinate Department-wide procedures for the acquisition and management of telecommunications services.
