Risk of Therapy

Text Description is below the image.

Chart describing "Risk of Therapy" based on Preventable ADE's/Prevalence and Rank.

The chart shows the drugs included in the following rank from highest preventable risk to lowest preventable risk:

  • Anticoagulants (Preventable ADE's/Prevalence 1.50)
  • Antiseizure (Preventable ADE's/Prevalence 1.30)
  • Antiplatelets (Preventable ADE's/Prevalence 1.30)
  • Hypoglycemics (Preventable ADE's/Prevalence 1.00)
  • Antipsychotics (Preventable ADE's/Prevalence 0.80)
  • NSAIDS (Preventable ADE's/Prevalence 0.80)
  • Diuretics (Preventable ADE's/Prevalence 0.75)
  • Cardiovascular (Preventable ADE's/Prevalence 0.45)

Notes:

Or you can look at essentially the "Risk" of therapy.
In other words, the chances of an ADE when you prescribe an Anticoagulant is 3 times higher than your risk when prescribing a Cardiovascular medication.
