Emergency Disaster Relief

When either a natural or man-made disaster strikes, the federal government is often called for help. Working with the Federal Emergency Management Agency in the Department of Homeland Security and other government organizations, GSA goes to work immediately to provide materials and logistical support both at and behind the scenes.

On short notice, GSA employees can provide affected government agencies with office space, telephone service, furniture, paper products, and a host of other necessities required to run an office or deal with a disaster. GSA’s support allows other federal government agencies to be up and running quickly to respond to the crisis and meet citizen needs.
