Dr. Gregory C. Tassey Gregory Tassey is Senior Economist for the National Institute of Standards and Technology. His major fields of research are the economics of high-tech industries, strategic planning studies and economic impact assessments of R&D programs, and technology policy analysis. Dr. Tassey has a B.A. in physics from McDaniel College and a Ph.D. in economics from The George Washington University. He has written numerous reports on R&D trends and associated policy implications, published 25 articles in policy and economics journals, and written three books, including The Economics of R&D Policy. A new book, The Technology Imperative, is in progress.
