TGAnet User Roles and RulesAll users are assigned a permission in the TGAnet application. A permission is comprised of a role and an organization. A user’s role determines what functions the user can perform. The organization determines where in a hierarchy a user can perform those functions. The following roles are available to federal program agency (FPA) and financial institution (FI) users: PLSA (Agency)A primary local security administrator (PLSA) may create, modify and delete permissions for local security administrators, accounting specialists, deposit preparers, deposit approvers, and viewers. PLSAs may also be assigned the Viewer role. PLSAs also may search deposits and view business and security reports. There may only be one PLSA per agency. PLSA (FI)A primary local security administrator (PLSA) may create, modify and delete permissions for local security administrators, deposit confirmers and viewers. PLSAs also may view security reports. There may only be one PLSA per financial institution. LSA (Agency)A local security administrator (LSA) may create, modify and delete permissions for accounting specialists, deposit preparers, deposit approvers, and viewers. LSAs may also be assigned the Viewer role. LSAs also may search deposits and view business and security reports. There may only be one LSA per agency. Organizations can assign as many LSAs as needed. LSA (FI)A local security administrator (LSA) may create, modify and delete permissions for deposit confirmers and viewers. LSAs also may view security reports. Organizations can assign as many LSAs as needed. Accounting Specialist (Agency)An accounting specialist may maintain the organization hierarchy, accounting codes, custom labels and processing options. An Accounting Specialist may also be assigned the Viewer role. An accounting specialist also may search deposits and view business reports. An accounting specialist may also be assigned the Deposit Preparer and Deposit Approver roles. Deposit Preparer (Agency)A deposit preparer may create a deposit and save it as a draft or save it for approval. A deposit preparer may also search for deposits, view deposits and view business reports. A Deposit Preparer may also be assigned the Deposit Approver and Accounting Specialist roles. Deposit Approver (Agency)A deposit approver may search for deposits, view deposits, approve/submit or reject deposits and view business reports. A Deposit Approver may also be assigned the Deposit Preparer and Accounting Specialist roles. Deposit Confirmer (FI)A deposit confirmer may search for deposits, view deposits, process returned items, adjust deposits, reject deposits or confirm deposits. A Deposit Confirmer may not be assigned any other roles in TGAnet. Viewer (Agency)A viewer may view and search deposits, search adjustments or view business reports. A viewer may print a deposit ticket for a voucher after the deposit has been submitted to a financial institution.
