Release of the International Direct Distance Dialing (ID3) Request for Proposals (RFP)GSA #9337A July 26, 1996 The U.S. General Services Administration's Federal Telecommunications Service today announced the release of the International Direct Distance Dialing (ID3) Request for Proposals (RFP). The ID3 acquisition will provide civilian and Department of Defense agencies with outbound international long distance services from any government location in the U.S. and calling card inbound capability. With the consolidation of requirements of multi-agencies, the contract is expected to generate lower costs. The contract is expected to be awarded in December 1996. It has a $5 million dollar minimum guarantee and a base award of two years with three one-year options. The contract will serve the contiguous states, the District of Columbia, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Its use will be non-mandatory. Some of the services include: calling cards, direct and expedited ordering, authorization codes and training. The solicitation is available via the Internet at http://post.fts2k.gsa.gov.
