Off-site Housing

Located in the Research Support Building (Building 400A), the Off-site Housing Office offers guests and visitors information and advice regarding off-site housing. This service is available Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

Apartments in Private Homes:

Apartments in private homes can be furnished or unfurnished. Most apartments generally include all utilities except for telephone and cable.

Local Apartment Communities & Rates

Most units are unfurnished.  Units in apartment communities include heat and water while the tenant is responsible for electric, telephone and cable. 

Rents are based on figures from January 2004.  In general, you can expect to see an increase in rental rates each year.  Rental costs vary depending upon location, demand, utilities, amenities, and the time of year.   Individual costs depend upon the number of people sharing the unit. "Good deals" are obtainable with some effort and research.  By constantly checking with our office, you can effectively get a "jump" on the more reasonable rentals.
