Change Management Section

The NWS Change Management Section (CM) is responsible for documentation, coordination, and tracking of NWS Requests for Change (RC). CM staff coordinate the review of RCs for major NWS operational hardware, software, and data product systems. These systems currently include:

• Advanced Weather Interactive Processing System (AWIPS)
• Automated Surface Observing System (ASOS)
• Console Replacement System (CRS)
• Cooperative Station Service Accountability (CSSA)
• Next Generation Weather Radar (NEXRAD)
• Radiosonde Replacement System (RRS).

Additionally, the CM section manages critical data product information by coordinating RCs through the Data Review Group (DRG).
