Hello from We Can! We are pleased to be able to bring you periodic snapshots on program activity from around the country. We Can! is a national public education outreach program promoted collaboratively among four Institutes of the National Institutes of Health to help children maintain a healthy weight. We Can! provides activities and programs that encourage improved nutritional choices, increased physical activity, and reduced screen time in youth ages 8-13. We Can! is unique among other youth obesity-prevention initiatives in its focus on helping parents, families, and communities. I want to acknowledge the tremendous efforts of the We Can! communities already signed on and to thank the many national partners and supporting organizations for their support. Visit the We Can! Web site to learn more about the We Can! resources and how you can make a difference in your community and for your own family.

Community organizations across Pennsylvania are kicking off the New Year on a healthy note by signing up to become We Can! community sites, thanks to Pennsylvania Advocates for Nutrition and Activity (PANA), a We Can! Supporting Organization. PANA will be recruiting hundreds of member organizations and schools across the state. Learn more about PANA and other Partners and Supporting Organizations on the We Can!
