WORKSHOP: PARVOVIRUS B19 - IMPLICATIONS FOR TRANSFUSION MEDICINE

This workshop will provide a forum for topics related to the impact of Parvovirus B19 on transfusion practice, including the frequency of human Parvovirus B19 viremia in blood donors, the potential clinical consequences of transfusion-associated B19 infection, and issues about whether or not blood units should be screened for B19.
