Strategic Plan.
You Can Help Chart the Future

Today’s the day you can help chart NOAA’s future as we build the agency’s Next Generation Strategic Plan (NGSP). And, all it takes is 10 minutes. Through September 7, 2009, NOAA is soliciting your thoughts and ideas in the form of a short survey accessible online. We encourage you to participate in this survey and contribute to NOAA’s long-term strategic plan. You can learn more about the NGSP and how you can contribute by watching this short video. NOAA Featured in Universal Studio's “Curious George” TV Series
Last June, the National Weather Service’s Weather Forecast Office and River Forecast Center in Taunton, Mass., was transformed into Universal Studio’s Learning Center as the popular children’s book character “Curious George” made an appearance to learn about weather in the segment, “Red Sky at Night, Monkey’s Delight.”

Ten children of National Weather Service staffers were featured on-camera as “students” who came to visit a real weather forecast office to learn everything a kid would want to know about observing and forecasting weather.
“Red Sky at Night, Monkey’s Delight” just started airing on PBS television stations nationwide and will be broadcast throughout the year.
