Description:
The USEPA Office of Pesticide Programs' Pesticide Incident Response Office (PIRO) serves as a source of pesticide incident information. PIRO responds to pesticide-related incidents and provides timely assistance to individuals who have been exposed. The office, in cooperation with Oregon State University, funds the National Pesticide Information Center (NPIC), a toll-free service that provides information on a variety of pesticide-related topics, such as pesticide chemistry, toxicology, health effects, and environmental fate. Professional and consumer newsletter/bulletin, fact sheets, online publications, and reports are available. Some Spanish materials are available.
